Empire Silhouette:
This type of style suits brides who want to draw attention to the upper half of their body, since the Empire has a high waist that falls just below the bustline. The great thing about Empire Silhouette wedding dresses is that even if you have a fuller figure, it will make your waist look slimmer. However, this style suits a lot of other body types and is great for women with a smaller bust size, since it draws attention to the neck and upper body.

Sheath Silhouette:
For those brides who want a sleek and fitted look, choose the sheath style. It is often called the “column” dress. It suits thin women yet it can also work well with women who some curves. Just keep in mind that it is close fitted so choose the cut and design carefully to make sure you can move around easily. It is a perfect choice for those brides who are after simplicity and yet still want elegance.

Mermaid or Trumpet:
This is a snug fitting dress with mermaid-type flares at the bottom. Wear this dress if you want to show off all your hard work at the gym, as it really shows off every last curve. This is the type of dress in which you will want to sashay down the aisle, so wear it with confidence. Great for hour glass figures, but can be unforgiving for fuller figures.

Ball Gown:
For brides who have planned a fairy tale princess wedding. Think Cinderella at the ball. This style is similar to A-line in that it is fitted at the top and has a wide flowing bottom. Perfect for pear shape as well as slender body-types. Important thing to keep in mind is how is that the ball gown wedding dress has a very full skirt, which will require your attention-but it will definitely attract attention.

A-Line:
Out of all the wedding dress styles, the A-line (narrow on top and widens at the bottom just like the letter “A”) is quite popular because it can accommodate a lot of different body types. Its especially flattering for pear shaped and full figure women because of the way the dress widens at the bottom. A-line dresses also give off the appearance of height for shorter brides.
