Drip Trays – Maintaining and Emptying them

The Water Delivery Company receives the same query time and time again and in answer to that Id like to use these articles to give some plain outlines to the most often . A basic problem facing someone who has just taken receipt of their first cooler is ‘The Drip Tray is Full – How Do I Empty It?’.gradually the drip reservoir of the water coolers will flow over and unless its emptied you’ll get water damage – spoiling the carpet or potentially destroying a laminate or wooden – so keeping on top of the water drip tray is essential. Again if the tray isnt emptied regularly one possible result is the accumulation up of algae and bacteria – the drip tray is unhygienic and it looks unsightly. So to start – take off any grill which may sit on top of your drip reservoir. Many water coolers have this offering a support tray for any cups being used.. These will always simply clip out so a little firm pressure will remove the grill. Having removed the grill you’ll be able to get a firmer hold on the drip reservoir itself. Again using firm pressure pull the drip reservoir towards you and you’ll find it unclips. Drain any water into a bucket or sink. Give the inside of the drip reservoir a wipe with a soft cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleaning fluid or detergent at this stage just to disinfect the drip tray and maximise its hygiene level. Once the drip tray is empty you can simply push it back into its home using firm pressure. You’ll sense the click as it clips back into home. To coplete the process replace the grill if the tray has one and you’re ready to go!
