Success for TennisLeagueNetworks First National Tennis Tourney

Massachusetts- Tennis League Network (TLN) ran its first ever USA tourney on Nov. 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, FL. It was well attended by program players throughout the US. The tennis was wild and the players all really relished the beautiful Miami weather. winners were awarded in the Men’s 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 levels and Women’s Open Division.

The tourney surpassed my wildest expectations. The facility and Miami weather were perfect, and the tennis participants were sociable and avid, said Chagnan. Players who won their individual season tournaments local seasons received free entrance into the tournament.

The TLN local communities aim to associate tennis players who are wild about the game in either a Partner Program (non-competitive format) or Flex League format. Our system preserves that the tennis participants are getting players who are close to their ability so they are enjoying fun breathtaking tennis connections. In the past 5 years we have seen over 43,000 matches played and growing at a rate of 50%+ a year.

TLN was inspired to create this National tournament as the complete conclusion for all the tennis participants who have won championships in their individual cities, said Chagnan. The players represented most major cities, including Miami, Boston, DC, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Denver, Orange County, LA and Philadelphia. tennis participants were categorized in mini-divisions of 5 players, and played in a round-robin using a 10 pro set format (First to win10 games). The top 2 players from each mini-division moved onto a single elimination tourney with other skill-level mini-division qualifiers.

Registration starts in early January for the 2010 spring season for TLNs 33 web based tennis communities, which are dedicated to bringing together local tennis tennis participants of every skill level — from beginners to advanced– who desire to participate in a lot of singles tennis matches and make new tennis friends. We make sure that both men and women are connected with tennis partners of similar tennis ablilites, says Chagnan.
