Showing Cards

I hardly ever show my online poker cards after a hand-I like to keep my poker onlineN opponents in the dark. Keeping your hands a secret is a great way to keep your style a mystery and to drive your opponents crazy trying to figure out how you play. If you’re bluffing and your opponents suspect it, they’l be going crazy trying to figure out whether or not you’ve bluffed them out of a winning hand, and even if you’ve got a winner and your opponents fold, you’re opponents will be left wondering if your hand really was the best one. Just because I have a tendency to keep my hands a secret doesn’t’ mean that there’s no good time to show your online poker cards. Two notable situations are if you’re trying to suggest that you’re playing a way opposite of how you’re actually playing and if you’re trying to encourage an opponent to go on tilt. When you’re trying to establish a playing style for your opponents to react to, there are few better ways to drive that style home than by using it to beat your opponents, so showing your cards after a bluff is an effective way to make that perspective stick. Also, if you see a player who’s starting to lose his composure, showing your cards to prove that you’ve that you’ve outplayed him is a great way to push him into a tilting mindset.
